Wooden house or construction panel for wooden house

The wooden house is assembled from prefabricated panels which are assembled to form the walls, floors, ceilings, corner pieces and roof. Each panel has a double skin design with the space (9) between the skins filled with wood chippings. The wood for the panels is kiln-dried to remove substances which attract wood-boring insects, and to stabilise the wood without requiring preservatives. The wood chippings are made from the off-cuts, sawdust, wood shavings, etc., which are chipped to the required size. The panels are edged by spacers (4) which form supports. The inner wall is formed by solid double tongued and grooved boards (6) and the outer wall by pressed board (7). The inner wall supports plaster board panels while the outer wall is fitted with battens (14) to carry outer weather boarding (15). The roof is covered with a sisal-reinforced showerproof sheet.
