Positive-locking connection between plastic gear case section and adaptor plate of electric motor

The connection employs a catch or catches engages in a latching notch or notches with either arrangement part of the gear case or the adaptor plate to which the motor is fixed, one on the plate periphery and the other on the peripheral wall of the gear case. The catch(s) (4) on the adaptor plate (3) are almost inflexible and engagement takes place by the flexible deformation of the gear case (2). The basic shape of the case is cylindrical where the plate fits and the case wall fits flat against the adaptor plate. The seat between case and plate is in the form of teeth which take up the torque exerted so that the connection is only stressed in the axial direction.
