A container for marine worms, especially Sinpuculus Modus, used for fishing, has a block of a spongy material inside which is moistened with salt water to keep the worms fresh. The block can be made from cellular plastic, natural or synthetic sponge, or it can be made from other materials including algae, grass, sand, silk, mud, soil, peat, sawdust or paper. In other variants the block can be made from a material or by-product of the chemical or pharmaceutical industry, e.g. antibiotic, vitamin, anaesthetic or salt, contained in a perforated sachet of polypropylene or polyethylene.
|
