Sitting device comprising a support base (10), a support upright (20) inserted in the support base (10), and a sitting surface (30), the upper end of said upright (20) having engaging parts (22; 122) designed to co-operate with corresponding parts (31; 131) formed in the sitting surface (30) so as to support said surface in such a way as to allow variation in the inclination thereof with respect to the resting surface of the base (10).
