The cue is made in two assembled sections (1, 2) with a telescopic tip which is spring-loaded or gas operated and is released by a trigger (15) at the handle end of the cue. The tip is cocked by another catch (26), and once it has been aligned with the cue ball it is released, striking the ball. The cue can be made, for example, from metal, or polyester resin with glass or carbon fibres. It is 1500 mm long when assembled and weights 1.286 kg.
