In a rolling mill train, especially a tandem mill group of two universal stands and an edging stand, the middle stand can be withdrawn transversely for changing the roll set and guide fittings and is associated with one or more shifting platforms having changing equipment mounted on carriages. The novelty is that the shifting platforms (8, 8a, 8b) can move in the rolling direction on the servicing side and, in the changing position, are associated with (i) outer rails (13, 14) which extend to the drive side (5) at the outermost sides of the outer stands (2, 3); (ii) central rails (16) which extend in line with the middle stand (4) transversely to the shifting platforms (8, 8a, 8b) in the direction of the servicing side (6) and which end beyond the shifting platforms; and (iii) middle rails (15) which extend towards the servicing side of each outer stand (2, 3). |
