摘要 <p>A power train in a motor vehicle 1 has an automatic clutch 3 which is controlled by a control unit 13 receiving signals from sensors 14, 15, 16, 19a, 19b, 30, 31 and 40 that measure parameters from, for example, engine 2, brakes, transmission etc. Creeping or crawling movement can only take place if the brakes are not being employed, the accelerator/gas pedal is not depressed and the engine 2 is running; movement beginning in response to shifting the transmission into gear. The signals are processed in the control unit 13 which operates a driving unit 12, eg an electric motor, regulating an output from master cylinder 11 to slave cylinder 10. Engine torque (Mmot1, fig 3) before the start of creeping and the engine torque (Mmot2) after the start of creeping are entered in the control unit 13 and the difference between the torques is compared, in the control unit 13, to a predetermined value (eg Mmot2-Mmot1 > Mdiff, fig 3). If the difference (Mmot2-Mmot1, fig 3) is greater than the predetermined value (Mdiff, fig 3) the torqued transmitted by the partly engaged clutch 3 suffices to ensure that a predictable creeping movement of the vehicle is carried out regardless of shifts in clutch operating points, and/or fluctuations in the parameters of the engine, transmission and/or clutch.</p>
