[Also in Division Dl] Sulphonated phenylsulphones of Formula I in which m is 1 or 2 n is 1, 2 or 3, A 1 and A 2 are identical with or different from one another and each represents a residue of a compound of Formula II in which X is -O- or -S- each of Z 1 , and Z 2 is a hydrogen atom or Z 1 together with Z 2 represents a single bond, each of Z 3 and Z 4 is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or alkoxy, hydroxy, carboxy or optionally substituted phenyl, each of p and q is 1 or 2 are prepared by sulphonation processes. Phenyl sulphones G-N are stated to be new.
