PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-layer backing for an photographic element so that antistatic protective characteristics and lubricating property which are neither influenced by moisture nor damaged by treatment can be obtd. and that production of scum can be decreased during treatment. SOLUTION: This photographic element has at least one photosensitive layer on the front face of a supporting body S and has a backing system on the back face of the supporting body S. The backing system consists of (a) an antistatic layer C which is formed nearest to the supporting body S and contains an antistatic, (b) a barrier layer B containing an enough amt. of a water- insoluble polymer material to prevent a photographic treating liquid from reaching the antistatic layer C, and (c) an overcoat layer which is formed farthest from the supporting body S and contains cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate in 3:1 to 1:1 ratio and perfluorinated polymer particles having <0.4μm particle size by 5 to 40wt.%.
