PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a false target from appearing by recognizing whether pulses exist before and behind at same intervals and executing a processing only on the pulse intervals when they exist in the same way as a former way. SOLUTION: The pulse intervals tm -tn (m=2, 3..., N, n=1, 2..., m-1) are calculated from measurement data at the arriving time tN of the arriving pulses. Whether the same pulse intervals exist before and behind or not at the same pulse intervals is recognized. To which minute section among sections (τ0 ,τ1 ), (τ1 ,τ2 )...(τK-1 ,τK) in the pulse repetitive interval of the equal intervals, which are previously set, the pulse intervals belong is judged only when the pulses exist. The addition expression of an expression against data in the minute sections is operated. The number of coexisting pulse strings and the pulse repetitive intervals of the respective pulse strings are outputted from the absolute value of the respective minute sections, which is obtained from the expression. In the expression,θis 2πtm/(tm -tn ) or 2πtn /(tm -tn ). Thus, erroneous detection in pulse string detection is reduced.
