PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain excellent fixing performance by setting the device to a blade condition that paper powder is prevented from slipping through or load imposed on driving is prevented from getting too large. SOLUTION: When many sheets of transfer paper pass through a nip part between a fixing roller 1 and a pressure roller 2, the paper powder and decolorant (calcium carbonate) adhere to the rollers 1 and 2. The paper powder adversely influences the fixing performance if it is not removed, so that it is removed from the roller 1 by a cleaning roller and removed from the roller 2 by the blade 10. However, when the condition is set, trouble that the paper powder slips through or the roller 2 does not rotate is caused in the blade 10 abutting on the roller 2. Then, the abutting angleθof the blade 10 to the roller 2 is set to the range of 10 deg. to 20 deg. so as to eliminate the trouble that the paper powder slips through or the roller 2 does not rotate. Thus, the paper powder is prevented from slipping through, and the excellent fixing performance is maintained.
