发明名称 ALPHA TYPE TITANIUM ALLOY EXCELLENT IN COLD WORKABILITY
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain anαtype titanium alloy free from cracking at the time of hot working, excellent in cold workability and polishability and suitable for the material for consumer products and the material for the human body by composing the chemical compsn. of structural elements of the one contg. specified ratios of Zr, Sn, Fe, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. SOLUTION: The chemical compsn. of this alloy is composed of 5 to 15% Zr, 1 to <2% Sn, 0.1 to 2% Fe, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. These Zr, Sn and Fe are elements for remarkably refining the crystal grains and have effect of improving its polishability and cold workability. The alloy is produced, e.g. by wraping a prescribed amt. of each metallic element in sponge titanium so as regulate a required chemical compsn., thereafter compressing the same to form into a Ti electrode, melting this Ti electrode by an ordinary arc melting method and executing solidifying.
