<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the flying distance, and enable a player to hit the ball more accurately by a method wherein the hardness and the thickness of an external cover are specified, and the golf ball is formed in such a manner that the outer diameter may be within a specified range. SOLUTION: This two-piece golf ball has an outer diameter D, a core diameter C and a cover thickness T, and the outer diameter D has an equal dimension as C + 2T. In this case, the ball has the outer diameter D of 1.73-1.75 inches, and the cover thickness T of 0.125-0.145 inches, and the external cover has a cover hardness of Shore D60 or higher, preferably, Shore D65-D75, more preferably, Shore D65-D70. Also, this golf has a weight which is lighter than 1.62 ounces.</p> |
