PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the silver halide photographic sensitive material and its manufacturing method capable of forming an image high in sensitivity andγvalue even in the case of rapid processing. SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material contains, in a silver halide emulsion layer, silver halide grains having an average silver iodide content of 0.05-1mol% and 3 pairs of parallel (100) faces containing silver iodide controlled so as to render its concentration maximum near the surface of each grain, and this emulsion layer further contains at least one kind of hydrazine compound and quaternary onium compound.
