PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely fix an indication body for passers-by and increase the visibility, by providing the indication body along the bottom face of a number of slender grooves provided on the surface of treadboards and fixing with pressure one end of the longitudinal direction of the indication body to the treadboard with an end tread piece and fixing the other end to the groove bottom with fixing bodies such as screws or the like. SOLUTION: In an escarator type conveyor for passengers for instance, indication bodies of footmarks are provided at the positions where passengers should stand correctly on all surfaces of the treadboards 4 or at every several treadboards. The indication body is provided with rectangular indication pieces 7A (the indication body is the integral form of these pieces) along the bottom face of a number of slender grooves 4A of the surface of the treadboard 4. In the front end of the longitudinal direction, the end tread piece arranged at the front end of the treadboard 4 and provided with the same surface shape with the treadboard 4 is fastened and fixed to a part of the tread 4 with screws or the like. And further, the rear face of the indication pieces 7A is stuck on the whole bottom face of the groove with an adhesive 7B. The rear end is fixed to the bottom face of the groove 4A with screws and fixed with pressure so that the end parts are not turned up even when small stones or the like contact the end parts. |
