PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize and carry various kinds of map image data by reading a printed map as an image by an image scanner, and using a connection interface to a data communication interface, a computer, or a computer peripheral equipment. SOLUTION: An input device 2 is an image scanner that is composed of a lighting device 20 for applying light to a manuscript and a light guide 21 for guiding reflection light from the manuscript, a line sensor 22 that is composed of a photo transistor array for reading light through the guide 21, and a guide roller encoder 23 for detecting a distance that is moved along the manuscript. And, a memory control circuit 61 of a control circuit 6 of a body 1 successively stores the output data of the encoder 23 that is transmitted from the input device 2 and image data from the line sensor 22 into an image memory. In this manner, by using a map image for reading a map image according to a purpose, a device can be applied to many uses and can be miniaturized. Also, a power consumption can be reduced. |
