PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject nonwoven cloth free from clogging trouble, etc., having an excellent adhesivity to various materials, softness and cushioning property and suitable for absorbing materials by using a specific heat-weldable composite filament as a material of the cloth and incorporating a specific amount of a specific compound into the 1st component of the filament. SOLUTION: This filament nonwoven cloth is composed of a heat-weldable composite filament consisting of a 1st component containing >=20wt.% of an ethylene-acrylic acid ester-maleic anhydrite copolymer (having a melting point of preferably 60-110 deg.C) and directing at least a part of the fiber surface in the longitudinal direction of the fiber and a 2nd component consisting of a crystalline thermoplastic resin having a melting point higher than that of the 1st component (e.g. polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate). The filament contains one ore more compounds selected from straight-chain higher fatty acids (or their metal salts) of the formula ((n) is 10-30; (m) is the number of unsaturated bonds in the aliphatic chain; X is H, Li, K, An, Ca, Mg, Zn, Pb, Al, Ba or Cd; (a) is ionic valence of X) at least in the 1st component in an amount of 50-5,000wt.ppm in terms of concentration in the fiber. |
