PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and light-weight structure of an outboard motor without increasing the number of parts and assembly man-hour by molding an air exhaust passage, a water supply passage, and a water discharge passage integrally in an oil pan provided on a lower face of an engine. SOLUTION: An air exhaust passage 41 which is extended downward from an engine and a water supply passage 42 and a water discharge passage 43 for cooling water are molded integrally in an oil pan 14. Accordingly, it is unnecessary to install the air exhaust passage, the water supply passage, and the water discharge passage by using exclusive pipe members. Moreover, the pipe members and parts such as a fixing bolt which tightens the pipe members and a gasket which keeps airtightness are not necessary at all to prevent an increase of the number of parts and assembly man-hour. The air exhaust passage 41, the water supply passage 42, and the water discharge passage 43 can be installed owing to a very simple and light-weight structure of an outboard motor. Moreover, since the oil pan 14 is formed by die-casting method, it is unnecessary to provide cores for forming each passage 41, 42, 43 in dies which mold the oil pan 14, and there is no possiblity of an increase in cost of the dies. |
