SELF POWER FEEDING TYPE AXIAL CURRENT SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self power feeding type axis direction sensor that generates a signal capable of accurately indicating a current of a power line. SOLUTION: A current sensor 50 comprises a housing 52 which is penetrated by a rectangular-shaped opening 54 for a conductive bus in an embodiment. The housing comprises holding walls 90, 92 defining a current detection region 94 and a housing body wall 96 defining a core region 98 for a power coil between itself and the one holding wall 92. A core 56 for a current detection coil and the current detection coil are positioned in the current detection region and in the vicinity of the opening 54. The core for the current detection coil and current detection coil are roughly symmetric to each other with respect to a central axis of the opening. The current sensor which is positioned in the core region for the power coil comprises the core for the power coil 68 and power coil that are roughly symmetrically positioned with respect to the central axis of the opening.
