<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a flat cable from loosening in the width direction when an automobile travels on a gentle curve by maintaining an interval between the flat cable and a vibration damping plate in a closely adjacent condition when angular acceleration of steering is comparatively small, and expanding it when the angular acceleration becomes large. SOLUTION: A flat cable is housed in an almost annular ring-shaped space 3 between an inside case 10 and an outside case 20 of a rotary connector 100, and a vibration damping plate 12 is arranged by leaving a slight clearance between it and the cable 1. The vibration damping plate 12 is composed of a support projecting part 12a, a wall 12b and an elastic body 12c, and is formed as a structure that a clearance between the elastic body 12c and the cable 1 expands by the action with a pin 13 to engage with the wall 12b when the support projecting part 12a is rotated at comparatively large angular acceleration by steering. Therefore, in a condition where the steering rests or rotates at comparatively small angular acceleration, the vibration damping plate 12 is put in a condition of most approaching the cable 1, and looseness of the cable 1 can be prevented.</p> |
