PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low slide resistance without the drop of a pressure resistance characteristic by providing a groove opening in a periphery direction along a slide-contact part on the seal ring, in a seal device provided with a seal ring for providing the slide-contact part slide-contacting to a mating member and an energizing ring contacting to the seal ring. SOLUTION: A seal device 1 for sealing a ring shape clearance 4 between the inner periphery surface 2a of the cylinder 2 of a hydraulic cylinder as the drive means of a construction machine and the outer periphery 3a of a piston is composed of a seal ring 5 made of a nylon and an energizing ring 6 consisting of a rubber shape elastic material. Slide-contact parts 5a, 5b for slide-contacting to the inner periphery surface 2a of the cylinder and a groove 5c formed between respective slide-contact parts 5a, 5b are provided on the outer periphery side of this seal ring 5. First slant surfaces 5e, 5f separated from the inner periphery surface 2a of the cylinder are formed on the end part of a side not connected to the grooves 5c of respective slide-contact parts 5a, 5b and second slant surfaces 5g, 5h are formed on the end part of the grooves 5c contacted to respective slide-contact parts 5a, 5b. |
