<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select the menus with change of their sequence by comparing the coordinate data on a data base produced previously with the cursor coordinates in order to know the menu that is under selection. SOLUTION: A menu selection device consists of a TV receiver 40, a pointing device 20 which outputs a cursor shift signal for selection of menus, and a pointing interface device 30. The device 30 includes a storage 33 which sets the screens of the receiver 40 as the X and Y coordinates and has the menu data corresponding to these coordinates, and a receiving part 31. The device 30 also has a control part 32 which compares the coordinates outputted from the part 31 with the coordinates stored in the storage 33 and outputs the data stored in the coincident coordinates to the receiver 40 together with a control signal.</p> |
