PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an inner component against hydrochloric acid generated by decomposition of sheathing resin (vinyl chloride resin) and to prevent diffusion of heavy metal ion generated from the component by covering t least a metal exposed part of the component with a thin layer protective film. SOLUTION: The noncontact data carrier is obtained by covering inner components made of a circuit board 1 and transmitting and receiving antennas 2 with a thin layer protective film 4, and further sealing it with sheath of resin by press molding. Contact of the component with hydrochloric acid generated by decomposition of the sheathing resin (vinyl chloride resin) can be prevented, diffusion of heavy metal ion generated from the component is prevented to prevent the decomposition of the resin. Accordingly, thin noncontact data carrier having excellent long term reliability is obtained. |
