摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the exhausting rate of HC and the like, and improve emission by suppress to stick fuel on a cylinder head when at least a part of injection fuel is injected in an intake stroke, in an in-cylinder injection type engine. SOLUTION: In an in-cylinder injection type engine, an ignition plug 10 is arranged on nearly center part of a combustion chamber 5, an injector 11 is arranged on a circumferential rim part of the combustion chamber 5 so as to inject fuel downward slantly, and a recessed shaped cavity 13 is arranged on a top part of a piston 4. In the case of injection in a compression stroke, an injection direction is faced into the cavity 13, and fuel reflected by the cavity 13 attains near the ignition plug 10. On the other hand, in the case of injection in a suction stroke, an injection direction is slid from the cavity 13, and an injection start timing of injection in the suction stroke is set within 70 deg.±20 deg. after top dead point by a crank angle.
