PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, thin and low-cost thermometer which does not obstruct a hot-water pouring operation by a method wherein a thin temperature-indicating face which makes use of a thermosensitive liquid crystal and which displays a plurality of different temperatures is attached to the surface of a synthetic-resin thin film or the like and the surface is covered with a water-resistant protective film. SOLUTION: A printed display part (a thin temperature-indicating face) 5 which makes use of a liquid crystal and which displays a plurality of different temperatures is formed on the surface of a synthetic-resin thin film or a sheet of synthetic paper 2, the whole surface is laminated with a water-resistant protective film whose thickness is very small, and a thermometer is formed. Then, an actual usage size is made smaller than the diameter of an ordinary teacup or a tea bowl, and a handgrip string 4 is attached so as to be taken out from hot water at any time. When the thermometer is constituted in this manner, the thermometer itself does not obstruct a hot-water pouring operation making use of drinking hot water, it is easy to observe because a display temperature appears together with a change in a color, a proper temperature with reference to various tea leaves can be distinguished simply in the state of plain hot water, and hot water at a required temperature can be used immediately. In addition, the thermometer is not of a disposable type so as to be used for a long time, and resources are not used wastefully. |
