PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocking differential gear capable of being stored in an existing differential gear casing. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with a circular multi-disks friction clutches 74, 76 invariably connecting the drive shaft of a vehicle to a pair of axles arranged in the axial direction. A pair of clutch members 62, 64 are excited by a coil spring 110 and a rocking pin 108 in the separating direction. The rocking pin 108 is slidably mounted in a pinhole on one phase of the first clutch member at one end, and it is extended into the large-diameter spring hole of the second clutch member at the other end. A coil spring mounted in the bottom section of the large-diameter hole, it is compressed when the rocking pin 108 is held at a operation position by a removable fastener member to compress the multi-disks friction clutches 74, 76 between a clutch member and a casing in a wall face. When one axle overruns the other by a prescribed quantity, corresponding friction clutch, is released to cut off the over running axle from the differential gear. |
