FIELD: repair of pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: corrugated plastic supply pipe 20 is inserted together with flexible guide unit 22 through accessible end 11 of steel supply pipe 14, 10 which runs to main 18. Flexible guide unit 22 includes flexible guide member 24 and flexible spring-loaded guide 26. Member 24 passes through head 32 having outer pipe secured to pipe 20 and inner part 36. Spring-loaded guide 26 is provided with sensor 60 located in its front end; this sensor generates signal when it enters main 18. After accurate positioning of pipe 20, liquid sealant 70 is forced into space between pipe 20 and pipe 14, 10. After sufficient hardening of sealant, guide unit 22 is introduced through pipe 20; inner part 36 is separated from outer part 34 of head to ensure escape of spring-loaded guide 26.
