METHOD FOR MAKING BEADS OF WIDE-FLANGE PARTS

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely, processes for making beads of wide-flange parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming inner cavity in sheet blank by radially stretching bottom portion of blank from lengthwise axis of part and reshaping it to wall portion of part. After achieving predetermined forming effort bottom portion is stretched due to pulsating surface-friction forces. Forces are created on bottom portion by means of engagement with additionally inserted elastically deformed members. Members perform pulsating (reciprocation) motion along axis of beaded part. EFFECT: possibility of making deeper beads, increased factor of metal use, lowered cost of beading wide-flange parts. 8 dwgo
