A fabric having a limited stretch in a longitudinal direction comprises an elastomeric foam sheet and a facing attached to one face of the foam sheet by a warp knitted yarn system which comprises courses of knitted loops extending across the fabric on one face of the foam sheet and thread portions interconnecting the loops extending through the sheet and over its other face. The subject matter is substantially the same as that disclosed in Specification 1,075,065 but the claims differ. |
