FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: reciprocating movement of piston accompanied by rotation of piston around its axis inside cylinder is converted into rotation of shaft by means of inclined disk 2 rotating in bearing 3 and rod 4 with pin arranged inside inclined disk 2. Pin gets into hole of hinge insert 7. Hinge joint is installed in bearings on inclined disk 2 so that axis of hinge joint passes along chord of circumference whose center lies on axis of rod 4. Extreme positions of rod 4 in its travel are located at equal distances from center of rotation of disk 2. With rod 4 moving in guide 5, at engagement of pin of rod 4 with inclined disk 2, torque is formed which rotates rod 4 together with inclined disk 2 and guide 5 of rod 4 and is conveyed from rod guide to user, either directly or through gearing. Piston travel is set within required interval, from zero to maximum, by changing angle of inclination of disk bearing in mechanism housing relative to rod axis.
