FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: steam- and-water rocket engine has chamber filled with superheated water with flow- through channel for escape of water steam from chamber and device for control of thrust made in form of central body mounted at inlet of engine flow- through channel. It is provided with motion mechanism which is used for increase of area of cross section at inlet of engine flow-through channel in case of drop of pressure in chamber. According to second version, thrust control device is made in form of movable walls of nozzle provided with drive. Walls are mounted on nozzle unit for turning about axis orthogonal to longitudinal axis of nozzle. EFFECT: ecological safety. 10 cl, 8 dwga
