FIELD: plastic metal working; may be used in various industries in case of forming from semifinished products with shape of pipe of parts of diverse final shape or parts intended for additional working, for instance, cutting. SUBSTANCE: method is based on pipe installation in die of respective shape. Pipe may be preliminarily expanded on one end. Die has punch on its one end. Punch is held with a definite force. Punch accommodates freely movable mandrel. During the working stroke from the other end of die, couterpunch draws pipe volumes difference which is formed in pipe drawing with thinning in direction of couterpunch motion. Material fills the initial gap between mandrel and pipe and space of arbitrary shape in punch or in die. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwgn
