摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect setting to desired manufacturers from being released by mistake in a transmitter (remote commander) for a remote control signal applicable to television receivers made by a plurality of manufactures. SOLUTION: A code conversion table corresponding to a desired manufacture is selected among a plurality of code conversion tables stored in a memory mounted on a remote commander and registered (setting of manufacturer). A protection purpose changeover switch 22 is placed to a hidden area 11h of a back cover 18 on a rear side 11r of a case and its connecting state is identified by a CPU in cross reference with the protection and release of manufacturer setting.
