PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify printing without being restricted by a paper size by printing out a page or an area to be printed out of a document prepared by an edition/ proofreading means on the specified paper size by a specified printing size. SOLUTION: When a key on a keyboard 101 is depressed, a printing specification picture is displayed on a display 103. A printing sort, i.e., normal printing or combined printing of plural pages, is specified. The specified printing sort information is stored in a data area 108 and a printing condition setting picture is displayed on the display 103. The paper size specifies the paper size to be practically printed out. When there is no specification, the paper size is automatically set up to the format size of a document to be printed. The printing size specifies the size for printing out the document to be printed. When there is no specification, the size is set up to the format size of the document to be printed. The printing size should be less than the paper size. Printing image data stored in the data area 108 are outputted to a printer 105. |
