PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost of an optical fiber gyro, by facilitating assembling of it. SOLUTION: An optical fiber gyro consists of a fiber coil around which long optical fiber 10 is wounded by specific number of turns, a coupler 22 which optically connects an optical fiber 16 which is derived from a light source with an optical fiber 20 which leads to a light detector, and a light IC chip, between the fiber coil and the coupler 22, where a phase modulator and a polarizer are mounted on a light wave guide. The reel 100 for fiber coil includes space for storing the wound long optical fiber 10 on its peripheral, and a through hole 102, in the center of reel, through which a supporting shaft 74 of assembling jig 70 penetrates rotatably. |
