PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image quality, preventing the position of an original signal from overlapping on the position of an interpolation signal when an image size is changed by using linear interpolation processing. SOLUTION: An interpolation interval Vdp which is acquired from an original image and a picture size after conversion is stored in a register 23, and performed cumulative addition by an adder 24 though a selector 26 from a register 25. A circuit 27 performs prescribed calculation and an offset value q0 is calculated. In a vertical blanking interval, the value q0 is selected in the selector 26, and also the register 25 is initialized. Thereby, a valueσ+nVdp in which the value q0 is added to a cumulated value of the Vdp is acquired. A read address n of the original image and linear interpolation coefficients qn1 and qn2 are calculated based on the valueσ+nVdp. A similar processing is also horizontally performed, an address m and coefficients pn1 and pn2 are calculated. An appropriate offset value is added to an interpolation position, the original signal is not overlapped on the interpolation position, and an image quality is improved. |
