The transmission system transmits primary information symbols and redundant information symbols allowing for correction of errors affecting the primary information symbols. There are also address information symbols intended for the receivers, whether the symbols are destined for them or not. The transmission system includes a device distinguishing the primary information symbols from the redundant symbols, by applying redundancy determination rules, and a system for transmitting the symbols. The primary information and redundant symbol distinguishing system is also arranged to detect the second redundant symbols which allow for correction of the errors affecting the address symbols, and apply the selection rules to these symbols.
