<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment capable of preventing the generation of useless power consumption by making it possible to immediately turn the mode of the equipment to a low power consumption mode in accordance with user's absence. SOLUTION: A keyboard 2 is mounted on the upper surface of a body part for a notebook type computer 1 and a display 3 including a liquid crystal display(LCD) is screwed into the body part so as to be used also as a cover. A dry cell or a chargeable battery is built in the body part as a power supply. The computer 1 is also provided with a power management function. A human body sensor 4 for detecting whether a user 5 exists on a prescribed position or not is arranged on a prescribed position of the display 3. When the sensor 4 detects the absence of the user 5, the computer 1 is automatically turned to the low power consumption mode.</p> |
