PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC type PDP(plasma display panel) which can suppress the reduction of the maintaining discharge voltage margine resulting from the unevenness of the thickness of a dielectric layer. SOLUTION: In this AC type PDP 32, resistors 38 to limit the current value flowing when an address discharge is generated are provided to plural address discharge electrodes 18 respectively. As a result, the current value flowing to the address discharge electrodes 18 in the address discharge time is decided by the resistors 38 exclusively, so as to suppress the variation of the discharge current value resulting from the variation of the thickness of the dielectric layers on maintenance-cum-address discharge electrodes 24b. Consequently, even when the thickness of the dielectric layers is made uneven, the unevenness of a wall charge amount formed in the address discharge time is suppressed, and the reduction of the maintaining discharge voltage margine resulting from the unevenness of the thickness of the dielectric layers is suppressed. |
