PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time from the request of merchandise information from terminal equipment to a host computer to the display or print of merchandise image on the terminal equipment. SOLUTION: Concerning plural types of travel plan merchandise, information such as the merchandise code and specification data of respective types of merchandise and color image data are stored in the fixed disk of host computer 1 and the merchandise codes of respective types of merchandise and color image data are stored in the CD-ROM of retrieval terminal equipment 2. When the retrieval of travel plan merchandise is retrieved while designating retrieval conditions from the retrieval terminal equipment, the host computer retrieves the relevant merchandise code and reports it to the retrieval terminal equipment. The retrieval terminal equipment retrieves the CD-ROM based on the merchandise code. When the relevant image data are stored, these data are read out, the information except for image data is received from the host computer, and that received information and the image data are synthesized and displayed on a display monitor. Besides, they are printed by a printer 3 according to the designation. |
