PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process an inter-line discontinues arrangement document consisting of plurality of lines as a continuous edition area and to sharply improve operability by specifying plurality of optional positions by a deformed frame specification mode and specifying a character string combining frame having a form combining plurality of character strings. SOLUTION: An internal storage means 3 is provided with device media such as an ROM 15 and an RAM 16 and a hard disk 17 or the like to be a large capacity storage means to execute processing. The head of an area to be edited is specified. Then an end corresponding to the head specification is specified to define a 1st edition area. In almost cases, each edition area consists of plurality of lines, so that plurality of specified areas are prepared. Then the head and end of a 2nd area are specified to define a 2nd edition area. Thus plurality of defined edition specification areas are regarded as one edition area and combined. The area specified edition areas are successively combined from a leading address of a document buffer and the combined data are constituted of continuos character data. |
