<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a light source manages with a wavelength sweep within its operable range by expanding the continuously variable wavelength range of the light source without deteriorating the coherence of the light source itself, and making a wavelength sweep in a wide wavelength range by alternating sideband waves. SOLUTION: Coherent light obtained by a coherent light source 2 is made incident on an optical com., modulator 6 to generate an optical com., wave and light of specified wavelength is extracted by a band-pass optical filter 6 selectively from the optical com., wave, roughly adjusting the frequency. Then the wavelength of the coherent light projected by the coherent light source 2 is adjusted to finely adjust the wavelength of the light projected from the band-pass optical filter 6.</p> |
