PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which can brighten the whole of a globe without making the device large in size, and also without increase in the power consumption. SOLUTION: The lighting device is equipped with discharge fluorescent lamps 10, a globe 20, sockets 30, and with reflecting plates 70. Each reflecting plate 70 allows light emitted by each discharge fluorescent lamp 10 to be incident, and allows it to be reflected to a space low in intensity of illumination in the vicinity of the sockets 30 within the globe 20, and the mounting position and reflecting angle of each reflecting plate is so selected that the intensity of illumination of the place D low in intensity of illumination is thereby made almost identical to that of a place to which light is irradiated directly from the discharge fluorescent lamps 10. |
