PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct printing positional shift in a recording element arranging direction of a plurality of recording elements. SOLUTION: This apparatus is constituted so that the image based on the input data from an external apparatus stored in a DRAM 102 is recorded on the material to be recorded fed in a direction different from a scanning direction by the scanning by a plurality of recording heads 110 having recording elements arranged thereto in a predetermined direction. In this case, a printing data processing circuit 107 shifts at least either one of the first and second data transmitted to the first and second recording heads among a plurality of the recording heads from the DRAM 102 so that one data is shifted with respect to the other data in a predetermined direction by the quantity corresponding to positional shift to output the same. |
