PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently exhibit a photocatalyst effect, clean the environment during lighting a fluorescent lamp and keep a required print display function by forming a photocatalyst film capable of producing a catalytic effect with an ultraviolet ray over the peripheral face of the fluorescent lamp except for a region where an imprinted mark is put. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst film 6 is formed over the entire peripheral face (outer surface) of a light emitting tube 1 except for a mark printed region 5. The photocatalyst film 6 is made of, e.g. TiO2 (titanium oxide), ZnO(zinc oxide) or the like, more particularly, of anatase TiO2 particles and SiO2 particles (binder component) having an average particle diameter of 1μm or less. Consequently, it is possible to efficiently oxidize/decompose odor, organic substance or the like which contaminates the environment and clearly keep a printed mark. Furthermore, display of the standard of a fluorescent lamp in use can be kept, thereby facilitating maintenance or the like.
