PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an observer from feeling unconfortable by reducing the sudden change of an image when the correction characteristic of image blurring is changed while an image blurring correcting action is executed. SOLUTION: A shaking correction system 102 is provided with a shaking sensor 106 and a shaking correction driving system 108 for driving a correction lens based on a driving signal calculated by a lens microcomputer 101 based on the output of a position sensor 107 and executing the image shaking correcting action. Then, it is decided whether an image shaking correction mode is switched or not in the midst of the image shaking correcting action, that means, whether the set of the cut-off frequency of integration is changed or not. When the image shaking correction mode is switched, the operator of the integration is obtained again by a new integration coefficient. In other words, integration arithmetic operation is executed so that an integrated result becomes identical before and after the time constant of the integration is changed. Thus, excessive response (the sudden fluctuation of the image) is reduced and the fluctuation of the image caused by that the mode is switched is reduced. |
