The automobile wiper blade is articulated at the longitudinal front end (14) of a wiper arm (16) around a transverse horizontal axis (A1) by means of a connector (18) which is articulated on the blade (12). The connector comprises an articulation (46) carried by two longitudinal vertical flanges (40) between which the blade is received. The flanges can be transversely separated to a mounting position to enable installing the connector on the blade then brought to an articulation position in which the connector articulation engages the complementary blade articulation (26). The blade flanges are received between the two lateral webs (48) at the arm end which prevent the connector flanges separating transversely from their articulation position toward their mounting position. The wiper blade can be easily changed by an inexperienced person.
