PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an analyzer which achieves an efficient evaluation of a sample. SOLUTION: A first part 176 is provided at a top part of a cuvette 112 used for an analyzer and a second part 178 on a side wall of the cuvette. When the cuvette 112 is ejected from a calucell, the cuvette moves into a chute 164 and further below a first light detector 172. The first light detector 172 reflects a beam to the first part 176 as flat top part of the top surface of the cuvette. As the cuvette continues to move along the chute 164, a lateral beam is emitted to the cuvette from a second light detector 174 and only when the cuvette is properly aligned, the beam is reflected from a side wall 178. When both the light detectors receive positive signals, it is ascertain that the cuvette is properly directed. Under other conditions, an error signal is generated to block the feeding of the cuvette with a sample. |
