PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card which fulfills a function equivalent to embossment regardless of the absence of embossment on the surface of a card by storing readably image data of embossment in an IC. SOLUTION: First, a transaction selection picture is displayed on a display part 8; and when input of a desired transaction to an input part 9 is detected, display for instructing insertion of a card is performed. When a card is inserted, a magnetic stripe read part 11 reads the magnetic stripe of this card to discriminate whether the inserted card is an IC card or a magnetic card. If it is an IC card as the result of discrimination, an IC read part 12 reads the inside of the IC card through a contact of the IC card to acquired image data of embossment stored in an IC card storage part of the IC card. An ATM (automatic transaction machine) performs the transaction requested by a user, and a printing part 15 prints acquired image data of embossment on a journal after the end of the transaction. |
