PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operability of a sorting device and to prevent miscopying from being executed by instructing the elimination of a paper on a proof tray according to the compared result of a paper size comparison means by using a warning means. SOLUTION: By a jogger mechanism, paper arrangement is executed by actuating a jogger plate based on paper size received from a main body device. A paper existence detection mechanism is set for detecting whether the paper exists on the proof tray and all the bins of a bin tray for sorting and gathering or not and constituted of a pair of light emitting and receiving sensors. When the existing state of the paper of the bin is changed, a signal showing the existence of the bin is transmitted to the main body device. Then, it is detected by the paper existence detection mechanism whether the paper is left in the sorting device 70 or not. When there is the paper in the sorting device 70, the warning display of a message such as 'remove the paper of a sorter' is executed in the message area of an operation part 20. When the removal of the paper is detected, the warning is canceled. |
